Brother Knights, it is with deep sadness that I have to report the passing of E. Kt. Ian Wellington.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Bro Ian Wellington was initiated into Freemasonry in Cowpen Lodge No 4824 in January 1973. He served as Master of the Lodge on two occasions, in 1980 and again in 2000.

First appointment in Provincial Grand Lodge to the rank of Past Provincial Deputy Grand Registrar in 1989 was followed by promotion to Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden in 1993.

In consequence to his service to the Order he was awarded Grand Lodge appointment to Past Grand Standard Bearer in 2004.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t

He was exalted in the Royal Arch in Croft Chapter No 3310 in 1978, acting as First Principal on two occasions again, in 1991 and 2014.<\/p>

In consequence of this, he received Provincial Grand Chapter appointment as Past Provincial Grand Sojourner in 1996, and promotion to Past Provincial Grand Scribe Nehemiah in 2002.<\/p>

He was installed a Knight in our Templar Order in Chibburn Preceptory No 232 in December 1984. He served as Preceptor of Chibburn Preceptory on two occasions, in 1996 and 2015.

Such was his devotion to the Order he became a Founder member of St Ronan Preceptor No 580 in June 1993 and served as its Preceptor also on two occasions in 1999 and 2018. In consequence of his service he was promoted in the Provincial Priory of Northumberland to the rank of Past Provincial Great Second Constable before appointment in Great Priory to Past Great Aide-de-Camp in 2011.\u00a0
In the Ancient and Accepted Rite, he was a holder of the 31st Degree and in other Orders under the auspices of Mark Masons\u2019 Hall, he was a Grand Officer in the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons (Past Grand Standard Bearer, 2008) and a holder of Royal Ark Mariner Provincial Grand Rank.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
