Eminent Knight Colin Wall, P.Gt.A-de-C.

It is with profound regret that the Provincial Priory records the sad passing of one of its most dedicated Great Officers in February 2016.
Bro Colin Wall was initiated into Freemasonry in St Aidan Lodge No 3460 in September 1964.
He subsequently acted as its Master in 1977, ultimately becoming Secretary of the Lodge for almost two decades from 1995, interrupted only once when he took the Chair for a second time in 2009.
In consequence of his service, he received his first Provincial appointment, to Past Provincial Senior Grand Deacon, in 1988 and was later promoted to Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden in 1999.
In the Royal Arch, he was exalted in Thomas Purvis Chapter No 2327 in 1974; was its First Principal for two consecutive years in 2004 and 2005, before Provincial Grand Chapter appointment as Past Provincial Grand Sojourner in 2009 and promotion to Past Provincial Grand Registrar in 2014.
In the Templar Order, he was installed a Knight in The Prior’s Haven Preceptory No 522 in December 1986.
He was Eminent Preceptor in 1998 before his first Provincial Priory appointment as Provincial Aide-de-Camp. In 2012, he was accorded the honour of Great Priory appointment to Past Great Aide-de-Camp.
The Province mourns the loss of such a hard-working and much respected Brother Knight.
