Knight Ronald Bell

It is with deep sadness that the Priory of Northumberland learned of the passing of Knight Ronald Bell.
Bro Bell was initiated into Freemasonry at the age of 67 years, in Neptune Lodge No 2908 in October 1998.
A keen and committed Freemason, he acted as Master of Neptune Lodge on two occasions, in 2005 and 2010.
He also became a joining member of Excelsior Lodge No 6609 in 2007, acting as its Master in 2012.
As a consequence of his service to masonry he was appointed in 2014 by the Provincial Grand Lodge to the rank of Past Provincial Senior Grand Deacon – one of the highest attainable first appointments.
He was exalted into the Royal Arch in Neptune Chapter No 2908 in 2001 and was its First Principal in 2011.
He joined the Templar Order when he was installed a Knight in Templar Segedunum Preceptory No 586 in June 2006, completing his Malta Degree the following year.
Sadly, he died before he had the opportunity of acting as Preceptor, but his service to the Order is greatly appreciated by the Provincial Priory of Northumberland and he will be missed by all those Brother Knights who knew him.
