Eminent Knight George Graham, P.Gt.W of R.

It is with great sadness that the Provincial Priory reports the passing of Eminent Knight George Graham.
Bro George Graham was initiated into Freemasonry in Alnwick Lodge No 1167 in April 1954.
He was Master of the Lodge in 1973 and in Provincial Grand Lodge appointed to the rank of Past Provincial Junior Grand Deacon in 1983 before promotion to Past Provincial Grand Registrar in 1993.
In the Royal Arch he was exalted into Alnwick Chapter No 1167 in 1971 but decided against taking senior office.
He was installed a Knight Templar in St Aidan Preceptory No 469 in 1980 and acted as Preceptor in 1992.
His service was rewarded by promotion to Provincial Constable before being appointed in Great Priory to the rank of Past Great Warden of Regalia in 2005.
He was a member of the Mark Degree as a member of Hotspur with Coquetdale Mark Lodge No 135 for 36 years before leaving the Order in 1994.
His commitment to the Templar Degree was exemplary and all the Knights of the Province deeply regretted his passing.
