Provincial Priors are “on the ladder”!
There was an interesting conjunction between the Knights Templar and the Order of the Royal Ark Mariners last Friday, 13th May, when RE Kt Kevin Stannard, Provincial Prior for Northumberland, and RE Kt Richard Scott, Provincial Prior for Durham, were appointed and invested as the Deacons in the Chief of the Builders Lodge of Royal Ark Mariner No 1806, meeting at Dunston Masonic Hall in the Province of Durham.
The Chief of the Builders Mark Lodge and counterpart Royal Ark Mariner Lodge meet twice a year each, on a Friday morning, and invite Provincial and District Heads of Orders to join so that they are better able to fit Mark and RAM masonry into their already busy masonic schedules.
Also maintaining the strong Templar link, the Worshipful Commander was RE Kt Alan Hume, KCT, the Past Prior of Northumberland, and he installed as his successor into the Commander’s Chair, E Kt John Lockhart Webster, the Past Provincial Treasurer of the Provincial Priory of Durham.
The whole meeting was closely tyled by E Kt John Watts, the Sub Prior of Durham, who acted as Guardian.
