Northumberland Bodyguard End of Year Dinner
The Provincial Prior of Northumberland’s Bodyguard marks the end of a busy year since the resumption of normal masonic activities last summer. On duty at the Annual Meeting last September, the Malta meeting in March and the Annual Church Service at Hexham Abbey in May, the Guard also officiated at three official Provincial visits to the Preceptories as well as a dozen Installations accompanying the representative Great Priory Officer.
As a fitting conclusion to these activities, the Guard held its End of Year Dinner at Tynemouth Golf Club on Friday 1st July. Hosted by the Bodyguard Commander and Mess President, E Kt Chris Allan, P.Gt.W of R, the guests of honour were the Provincial Prior, RE Kt Kevin Stannard, and the Past Provincial Prior, RE Kt Alan Hume, KCT, and everyone enjoyed a sumptuous meal served in the magnificent setting of the Golf Club Trophy Room.
With a two month recess to recharge their batteries, everyone is now looking forwards to the start of Templar meetings in September, when a new round of Bodyguard duties will resume.
