Knight John William Graham
15 July 1938 – 17 July 2019
The Provincial Priory of Northumberland was sad to learn of the passing of Kt John Graham just two days after his 81st birthday.
Bro John was initiated into Freemasonry in Ponteland Lodge No 8026 in March 1989. He served as its Master for two consecutive years from 1999 to 2001.
As a consequence of his service he was appointed to the rank of Past Provincial Grand Standard Bearer in 2009. After his mother Lodge closed, he joined two other Lodges in Northumberland – Epicure Lodge No 9618 and Castle Wardens Lodge No 8213.
He was a subscribing member of both until his death.
He was exalted in the Royal Arch in Castle Wardens Chapter in 1991, acting as its First Principal in 2006.
In 2012, he was appointed to the Acting rank of Provincial Second Assistant Grand Sojourner and after his mother Chapter closed he joined the Albert Edward Chapter No 1557 in 2013.
John was installed a Knight of our Order in the St Wilfred of Hexham Preceptory No 461 in April 1996. He did not take senior office in the Preceptory but remained a supportive subscribing member until his death.
In addition to our Templar Order, he was a Knight Companion of the Bishop Acca Conclave No 333 in the Order of the Red Cross of Constantine for twenty years from 1999.
He will be sorely missed by all in our Provincial Orders.
