Eminent Knight Wilson Fox

Brother Knights, it is with deep sadness that I have to report the sad passing of Eminent Knight Wilson Fox.
Bro Wilson Fox was initiated into Freemasonry in Holy Cross Lodge No 3679 in June 1994.
He subsequently acted as Master of the Lodge on no fewer than four occasions, in 2001, 2006, 2012 and finally in 2016, and he was the reigning Master at the time of his death.
He also joined Excelsior Lodge No 6609 and acted as its Master twice, in 2006 and 2011.
This amazing record of dedication and service to the Craft was rewarded by appointment to the Acting rank of Provincial Assistant Grand Registrar in 2010, before promotion to Past Provincial Senior Grand Deacon in 2015.
In the Royal Arch, he was exalted in Neptune Chapter No 2908 in 2000; was its First Principal in 2010 and appointed as an Acting Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies in April 2016, just one month before his death.
Sadly he never got to officiate in that role in our Provincial Grand Chapter meetings.
In the Knight Templar Order he was installed in Templar Segedunum Preceptory No 586 in June 2003 and was its Eminent Preceptor in 2015.
He installed his successor Preceptor in January 2016, four months before he passed away and, sadly, never had the opportunity to serve the Provincial Priory of Northumberland as an installed Officer.
One is left to wonder what might have been, had our Great Captain not summoned him to greater service above, but all his Brother Knights mourn his passing and will forever remember him.
