Eminent Knight Thomas William Blacklock, P.Prov.W of R.

E Kt Tom Blacklock devoted sixteen years of service to the Knight Templar Order before he was called to higher service at the young age of 65 years.
He had been installed a Knight in Templar Segedunum Preceptory No 586 in August 1998.
He took the Chair of Preceptor in 2011 and was appointed in Provincial Priory to the rank of Past Provincial Warden of Regalia.
Initiated into Freemasonry in Buddle Lodge No 3937 in April 1983, he was its Master on two occasions, in 1999 and 2006.
He was exalted in the Royal Arch in 1994 in Rowlands Gill Chapter No 4694 under the Provincial Grand Chapter of Durham, but later moved to Neptune Chapter No 2908 in 1999, taking the Chair of First Principal in 2008.
For his service to the Craft he was appointed to Past Provincial Junior Grand Deacon in 2007 and later promoted to Past Provincial Grand Superintendent of Works in 2013, just six months before his death.
In the Provincial Grand Chapter he was appointed to the rank of Past Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies in April 2014 but, tragically, he passed away just a few weeks later.
His dedication and service were greatly appreciated by the Province of Northumberland and he will be missed by all of his Brethren and Brother Knights.
